Editorial Workflow
Editorial Process & Peer Review Policy
Journal of Orthoplastic Surgery (JOPS)
The editorial office evaluates all manuscripts following submission. Manuscripts rejected at this early stage either have serious scientific flows, or are outside the scope of the journal. Manuscripts that meet the journal scope and fulfill its submission criteria are then assigned to at least two peer reviewers (double blind) with expertise in the subject. The reviewers submit their reports on the manuscripts along with their recommendation to the journal editor. Authors will be sent an email notification with the editorial final decision whether their work has been accepted, potentially accepted pending corrections, or rejected. Editorial decisions are final and the journal will not reconsider an editorial decision. The Editorial Workflow gives the editors the authority to reject any manuscript at any stage because of inappropriateness of its subject, lack of scientific quality, or incorrectness of its results.
